Something Sketchy

In Concert

Saw Nigel Kennedy and John Etheridge in concert this week - a fantastic experience at any time, but on this occasion, it was taking place in the intimate setting of my local Church, in front of a small audience. Supported by Yaron Stavi and Mark Fletcher on bass and drums, they were amazing! They played their own compositions and interpretations of other composers including selections from Django Reinhardt and Jimi Hendrix... I can’t imagine Third Stone from the Sun and Hey Joe played on violin being any better!

I think some members of the audience found it a bit overpowering - and anyone waiting for Vivaldi’s Four Seasons would have had a bit of a shock, but we thought it was great! Thanks to Paul Barber for making it all possible.
